Terms of Service

The agreement that walks with you as you walk the path

These terms are written in plain language. Please read them. By tapping "I have read and agree" you accept them.

1. Acceptance

By installing, opening, or using The Life Saga ("the App") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Who can use the App

The App is intended for people 13 years of age or older. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

Important — the App is not medical or mental-health care.

The App offers reflections, sacred practices, breathing rituals, journaling, and content drawn from spiritual traditions. It is not a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed doctor, therapist, psychiatrist, or other qualified professional. The content is for personal reflection only.

If you are in crisis — if you are thinking about harming yourself or someone else, or you need urgent mental-health help — please contact a local emergency service or crisis line right now. The App's "Survival Mode" includes a list of crisis numbers for several countries. They are not a replacement for emergency services.

3. License to use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial spiritual practice.

You may not: redistribute the App or its content; modify, decompile, or reverse-engineer the App (except where Android law expressly permits); use the App to harm others or yourself; use the App in any way that violates applicable law.

4. The content

The App contains text, lore, sigils, images, audio, civilizations, archetypes, and other content authored or curated by us, plus AI-assisted generation in some places. This content reflects many spiritual and mythological traditions. We treat these traditions with respect; nothing in the App is intended to disrespect any faith, teacher, lineage, or living person.

Some features (Divine Chat, the Dream Interpreter, and the Mirror of the Soul) reply with the help of an AI language model. These replies are generated, may be imperfect or inaccurate, and are offered for reflection only — never as fact, instruction, or professional advice. See the Privacy Policy (Section 3.6) for what these features send and to whom.

You retain ownership of anything you write into the App — your soul-name, your diary entries, your reflections, your tree of life. We do not claim any rights over your private journaling.

5. Soul Points and in-app purchases

Soul Points are a virtual in-app currency with no cash value. They can only be used within the App and cannot be exchanged for money, transferred between accounts, or refunded outside the standard Google Play refund process.
All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. Google is the merchant of record. Refund requests are handled through Google Play's policies (typically a 48-hour window for digital purchases).
Soul Points may be earned through use of the App (reflections, unlocks, etc.) or purchased. The earning rates, costs, and unlock thresholds may change in future releases.
If your account is terminated or the App is discontinued, any unused Soul Points will be forfeited. We will give reasonable notice before discontinuation.

6. Your account and data

The App does not require an account to use. Some features (such as diary backup to Google Drive) are unlocked by signing in with Google on your device. Your data lives on your device and, optionally, in your own Google Drive — see the Privacy Policy for the full inventory.

You are responsible for keeping your device, Google account, and any passphrases secure. We cannot recover your diary or progress if you lose your device and have not enabled Google Drive backup.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose, including harming yourself or others.
Attempt to bypass any Soul Points cost or feature gate.
Tamper with the App's APK, certificates, or storage in ways that defeat security checks (Firebase App Check).
Use the App to harass, threaten, or impersonate any person.
Use the App's content to mock, defame, or denigrate any religion, culture, or living person.

8. Third-party services

The App integrates with several services run by other companies. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies:

Google Play Billing, Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check, Google Drive API — Google.
Cloudflare R2 (content delivery) — Cloudflare.
Google ML Kit Translate (on-device) — Google.
OpenAI — generates the replies in Divine Chat, the Dream Interpreter, and the Mirror of the Soul, from the messages you send to those features (see Privacy Policy, Section 3.6).

We are not responsible for the policies or behaviour of these third parties beyond ensuring that the App uses them in the documented way.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of content.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components. You use the App at your own risk and discretion.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us through in-app purchases in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or INR 1,000 (one thousand Indian rupees), whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. On termination, your local data is unaffected unless you also uninstall the App.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will prompt you in the App to read and accept the new Terms. Continued use after acceptance means you accept the new Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction located in India. If you are a consumer protected by mandatory local law in your country of residence, you also retain the benefit of any such mandatory protections.
